How long will Galvalume last?
Research conducted by the Metal Construction Association (MCA) indicates that Galvalume roofing could last as long as 40 to 50+ years without any extreme signs of corrosion.
What is the difference between Galvanised and Galvalume?
Galvanized steel consists of zinc, while Galvalume's coat consist of zinc, aluminum, and silicone. Both types of metal are excellent for roofing, and they each have their pros and cons. Galvalume is a much longer-lasting material, with a lifespan about twice that of galvanized steel.

Galvalume® has a highly reflective, silver spangled color which weathers in unique patterns over the life of the roof for a rustic, natural appearance. * Galvalume® is the successor to the Galvanized coating that has been in use since the 1800's.
Does Galvalume reflect heat?
GALVALUME has terrific reflectivity, of both heat and sunlight. Ideally, you would use bright white pre-painted panels for maximum reflectivity. It will efficiently reflect away the sunlight, reduce the heat transmitted to the building, and keep it much cooler inside.
